Now in Egypt there aren’t any attacks that happen for power so the deserts aren’t an important factor in modern Egypt. But the Nile river is still useful for a fresh water source and for boating. Now that we are in modern times much of the land is taken over by big cities.

People moved to Egypt for the good farming lands near the Nile which had fertile soil. Later Egypt began because of more people moving for the good farming lands. Unlike Mesopotamia the floods were predictable which made Egypt ideal for moving before the floods and perfect for a successful civilization. Ancient Egypt was also ideal for protection from other armies because of the vast deserts and the Mediterranean Sea to also protect them because people did not have large boats to travel across such a large sea. Later in Egypt when the Egyptians started to build pyramids they had to use men to carry bricks because of the rocky desert terrain.
